Why? As a poster already pointed out, though the sale of these animals that are not illegal, now is as a rule by which, on many levels. Many states have a total ban, like many cities, counties and municipalities - the most common situations, such as apartments, condominiums experience, townhouses, etc.
This is not limited to their "rights", but because history has shown repeatedly that most people lack the ability to adequately care for these animals. You do not have access to knowledge veterans in your care, and lack access to adequate food. As these animals are rarely this long life, and those who live often no longer happy and healthy.
My suggestion would be not to buy exotic, but what organization you near the house of unwanted foreigners. The volunteers are, whether you are really able to provide for his exotic choice. In fact, if you are one of the few people, then it is likely that one or more of these creatures, are desperately trying to adopt introduced.
This does not only apply the money from the pockets of farmers, an animal that is already helping in a desperate situation, and probably much cheaper to acquire.

There are a number of websites that sell these animals, despite the fact that many communities prohibit private property. Apes, big cats, lizards and other animals banned in many countries. Unfortunately, the Internet is today and everything goes Wild West.
